"Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before."
Edgar Allan Poe

"All the works of man have their origin in creative fantasy. What right have we then to depreciate imagination."
Carl Jung

Each of us has a unique and authentic path to walk. Each step of the way PAR is a community dedicated to spiritual growth and personal development. Let us join you on your journey.
 History Of PAR

On September 8, 1971, PAR was founded by a group of dedicated people who had a mission to provide Service, Education and Research to the community in the field of the paranormal.  These founding members launched a movement that has endured for forty  years, resulting in an improvement of the quality of life for the community.

PAR has been responsible for many research projects that have received recognition from the more traditional disciplines of science.  The most notable work was the PREP Program which proved that altered states of consciousness could indeed impact the body’s ability to heal itself.

Other projects of importance have been ongoing, especially the research of the spirit world, which has brought attention and recognition to several researchers and psychics who are members of PAR.

PAR has not only provided research projects. The local communities has become accustomed to the many classes and public lectures that have been offered through the years. In addition, several of  PAR’s researchers and psychics have been guests on national and local television talk shows and news programs, such as OPRAH, Joan Rivers, The Other Side, KTTV News, and KVCR Television.

Some of the most eminent people in the field of parapsychology have been guest speakers at PAR.  Dr. Thelma Moss, Dr. Nicholai Khokolov, Shafica Karagulla, Charles Thomas Cayce, Dr. Stanley Krippner, and our founding member, Dr. Hazel M. Denning, are a few of the names.  These speakers brought a wealth of information to our members and this furthered PAR’s goal to provide Service, Research and Education.

For forty years our message has been brought to the community. This message has served to improve the quality of life, and we will continue to to maintain that specific goal.
